Our Impact

Strong character changes families, schools, and this whole community — here's how.

What we can tell you today

The shape of the program, in plain numbers

We are early in our story, so we are not going to hand you survey results we have not gathered. Here is what is verifiably true about how CCA is built.

13Character Areas Taught

From honesty and respect to perseverance and forgiveness, each strength gets its own lessons and language kids can carry home.

3Grade Bands Served

Elementary, middle, and high school students each meet in age-appropriate classes with material written for where they are.

0Public Dollars Spent

The program is funded entirely by local churches, families, and donors, so no tax money supports our instruction.

The ripple effect

One hour a week, three widening circles

Character is never learned in isolation. What a student practices in class ripples outward — first at the kitchen table, then in the classroom, and eventually across the whole town.

In Families

An argument over a video game becomes a chance to practice patience.

Children come home with words for what they are feeling and a way to work through it. Parents tell us the difference shows up in small moments — apologies offered without prompting, chores done without a standoff, a sibling fight that ends in repair instead of a slammed door.

In Schools

Self-discipline learned in one hour follows a student through the whole day.

Teachers spend less energy refereeing and more energy teaching when students know how to tell the truth, take responsibility, and treat classmates with respect. Character education does not replace academics — it clears the way for them.

In Our Community

Today’s fifth grader is the neighbor who shovels your walk in ten years.

Young people who practice service, honesty, and responsibility grow into adults who coach teams, volunteer at the food pantry, show up for their families, and lead well at work. New London gets stronger one generation at a time.
