Our Leadership
Christian Character Academy is guided by a volunteer board of Christian men and women representing churches throughout New London.
A board of neighbors, serving without pay
The New London Faith Group is the board that oversees Christian Character Academy. Its members are Christian men and women sent by churches across New London, so no single congregation directs the program — the wider body of believers in this town does. The board approves curriculum, requires BCI and FBI fingerprint background checks of every teacher and volunteer, holds the budget, and answers to the families it serves.

Hannah Westphal
Teacher
Hannah Westphal brings five years of experience teaching release-time religious education to the Christian Character Academy. She also enjoys teaching physical education to homeschooled children.
Hannah is actively involved in her church, where she teaches Sunday school and assists with the maintenance and upkeep of the church building. She has been married for 10 years and is the proud mother of four children.
In her free time, Hannah enjoys cooking and spending time in the kitchen, hiking, going to the beach, and enjoying the outdoors — especially when she can share those activities with her family.
Emma Stevens
Teacher, Grades 6–12
Emma Stevens is a graduate of New London High School and continues to call New London home, where she lives with her husband, Cameron. She has a genuine heart for serving children and teenagers and teaches students in grades 6–12 at Christian Character Academy.
Emma previously served as a missionary at a children’s camp in Panama. She is also actively involved at New London Alliance Church, where she serves as the director of children’s ministry and is a member of the worship team.
Through her teaching, ministry, and missionary experience, Emma is passionate about helping young people grow in their faith and discover how deeply they are loved by Christ.
Our board members prefer to serve quietly and have asked that their personal details not be published here. You are always welcome to reach the board through our contact page.
